The on button cycles through the operating levels allowed by the fireplace’s mode selector: flame effect, flame plus fan, or flame plus fan and heat. The off button shuts the unit off. The manual specifies an approximate 50-foot range and a 12-volt A23 transmitter battery. The receiver and transmitter must be synchronized after installation.
The receiver bracket plugs into the fireplace connection after the prescribed log-grate and ember-bed removal. Retain the original manual-operation plug connector if the remote is later removed. Have the receiver fitted by a qualified service professional; restore all removed components before operation. This is an indoor electric-fireplace control, not a universal gas-fireplace remote.
