These terms govern the United Fireplaces website, orders, digital product tools, customer responsibilities, installation safety, warranties, and disputes.
Agreement and scope
These Terms of Service and Sale govern use of https://unitedfireplaces.com, customer accounts, communications with United Fireplaces, and purchases from United Fireplaces LLC. By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and the policies incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the website or place an order.
Eligibility and lawful use
You must be able to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction and use the website only for lawful purposes. You may not misuse the website, interfere with security or operation, introduce malicious code, scrape or copy content in violation of law, impersonate another person, or use the website to infringe the rights of others.
Product information
We work to keep product descriptions, dimensions, images, manuals, availability, compatibility, and pricing accurate. Manufacturers may change specifications, packaging, finishes, components, certifications, or manuals without notice. Colors and textures can appear differently on screens. The current manufacturer model number, label, listing, and installation manual control when website content differs.
Contact us before ordering if a specification, finish, certification, dimension, lead time, or compatibility detail is critical to your project.
Orders and acceptance
An order confirmation means we received your order; it is not final acceptance. We may verify payment, identity, address, availability, product restrictions, dealer territory, shipping feasibility, or configuration. We may decline or cancel an order for suspected fraud, pricing or catalog error, unavailable product, regulatory or manufacturer restriction, shipping limitation, or another lawful reason.
If we cancel an order after payment, we will refund the cancelled amount. We may limit quantities or decline orders that appear intended for unauthorized resale.
Pricing payment promotions and taxes
Prices are stated in U.S. dollars unless shown otherwise. Payment authorization, promotions, pricing errors, taxes, price matching, and Special Offers are governed by the Payment Pricing Promotions and Taxes Policy. Promotions do not change a manufacturer's warranty, compatibility requirements, or safety obligations.
Configurations recommendations and digital tools
Product options, Build Your Fireplace, Design Your Space, venting or sizing tools, compatibility prompts, visual previews, bundles, bills of material, chat guidance, and similar features are decision-support tools. They are not architectural, engineering, code, permitting, or installation plans and do not replace the current manufacturer manual or a qualified onsite professional.
You and your installer are responsible for verifying the final model, fuel type, dimensions, clearances, venting path, termination, electrical supply, gas supply, accessories, listings, local code, permit requirements, and site conditions before ordering and installation.
Installation and safety
Fireplaces, gas appliances, grills, venting systems, electrical products, outdoor-heating products, and related components can create fire, explosion, burn, carbon-monoxide, electrical, structural, and property-damage risks if selected or installed incorrectly. Use only manufacturer-approved components and follow all instructions, listings, codes, permits, and authority-having-jurisdiction requirements.
Installation, service, fuel conversion, gas work, electrical work, and venting must be performed by appropriately qualified or licensed professionals when required by the manufacturer or applicable law. The Product Selection Configuration Installation and Safety Policy is incorporated into these Terms.
Shipping returns and warranty
Shipping and delivery are governed by the Shipping and Delivery Policy. Cancellations, damage claims, returns, and refunds are governed by the Returns Cancellations Damage and Refunds Policy. Manufacturer warranty support is governed by the Warranty and Manufacturer Support Policy. If the policies conflict on a specific subject, the more specific policy controls.
Accounts and security
You are responsible for accurate account information and for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials. Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the website, customers, or United Fireplaces.
Intellectual property
The website and its original text, graphics, layout, branding, software, and other content are owned by or licensed to United Fireplaces and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Manufacturer names, logos, manuals, images, and specifications belong to their respective owners. You may use website content only for personal shopping and project evaluation unless written permission or law allows otherwise.
Reviews feedback and submitted content
If you submit a review, photograph, room image, design, question, feedback, or other content, you represent that you have the right to provide it and that it is accurate, lawful, and does not violate another person's rights. You grant United Fireplaces a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, and display the content for operating, improving, supporting, and promoting the services, subject to the Privacy Policy. Website availability and disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and online tools are provided as available. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not disclaim an express written product warranty or any warranty or consumer right that cannot be disclaimed by law. Manufacturer warranties, if any, are provided under their written terms.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, United Fireplaces will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost use, contractor delay, or project delay, arising from the website or a purchase. Our aggregate liability for a claim relating to a product or order will not exceed the amount paid to United Fireplaces for the product giving rise to the claim.
These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law, to liability that cannot legally be limited, or to obligations expressly accepted in writing by United Fireplaces.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold United Fireplaces and its personnel harmless from third-party claims arising from your unlawful misuse of the website, your violation of these Terms, or content you submit, except to the extent caused by United Fireplaces.

This section does not remove any cancellation or refund right required by law.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise. Any court proceeding must be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Delaware, unless applicable law permits or requires another forum. Before filing a claim, the parties should attempt in good faith to resolve it by contacting the other party in writing.
General terms
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign an order or these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, financing, sale, reorganization, or transfer of the relevant business. These Terms and incorporated policies are the agreement concerning their subject matter, except for a later written agreement signed by an authorized representative.
Changes and contact
