The Napoleon Element 36 NEFB36H-BS-2 is a self-trimming, single-sided electric fireplace for a recessed indoor installation. The traditional log presentation and brick panels create a hearth appearance, with independently controlled lighting and heat for year-round use.
Appliance, front glass and decorative cover, brick panels, model-specific six-piece log set, grate and crystal media, remote and installation hardware. Arrange the included logs A through F exactly as shown on pages 15–18 of the current manual.
Provide a dedicated grounded 15A electrical circuit and a suitable recessed opening. The appliance is factory wired for a 120V grounded outlet. A qualified electrician must perform any hardwire conversion, including 240V operation. Do not use an extension cord. The included log and media package supports the standard configuration without a separately purchased log set.
The NEFB36H-BS-TRIM five-inch black finishing trim is optional and supports three- or four-sided finishing. It is not required simply because the appliance is built in.

Install in a dry indoor location away from traffic. Keep furniture, curtains, bedding and other loose combustibles at least 36 inches from the front. Keep intake and exhaust openings clear, prevent exposed insulation from contacting the appliance, and retain access to the upper-right power switch. Complete electrical work before final placement. Two-person handling is recommended. Follow the manufacturer installation manual and applicable electrical and building codes.
Napoleon provides a two-year limited electric-appliance warranty for covered electrical components and wearable parts, subject to the original-purchaser, authorized-dealer and installation conditions. Warranty-repair labor is covered in the first year only. Bulbs, fuses, shipping and excluded damage are not covered; consult the complete terms.
