For a covered patio or deck, the manual requires at least two sides to remain open. Choose a location with adequate ventilation and all specified clearances. The manual prohibits recessing the unit into the exterior wall. Plan drainage for the enclosure so water cannot accumulate beneath the appliance. The OD38123 drain pan is an optional model-specific accessory; when it is not used, provide another compliant route for water to escape to the exterior.
