The Monessen Artisan AVFLST48 is a 48-inch see-through vent-free gas fireplace designed to connect two viewing spaces. Its linear flame, Diamond glass media, reflective interior and LED lighting create a contemporary double-sided fire feature. An indoor/outdoor installation requires the approved outdoor kit and its separate framing arrangement.
Includes framed mesh screens, four bags of crushed-glass media, the specified non-combustible board, deflector glass and RC450 remote. Follow the packing list and installation instructions for the appliance revision.
Select the correct fuel model. The supplied glass satisfies the standard media installation; additional glass, a log kit or a stone kit is not required merely to complete the fireplace. The AVFLST48SSODK outdoor kit is required only when choosing the approved exterior-wall installation.
Approved trim/front treatments, driftwood logs and the stone kit are optional. Do not install the log kit and stone kit together. Use their exact placement instructions. Optional replacement glass must not be layered excessively over burner ports.

Do not install in a bedroom or bathroom. Provide the required combustion and ventilation air, keep combustible items at the specified clearances and follow the finishing drawings for both sides. Interior-wall framing differs from exterior-wall framing; do not use the single-sided Artisan depth for this model. Install the supplied glass in the prescribed single layer and keep burner ports clear. Have installation and service performed under the exact manufacturer instructions and applicable codes.
