Fire Magic 3186-52 Insulating Liner for A790 and E790 Built-In Appliances
Use the model-specific 3186-52 liner when installing a compatible appliance in a combustible enclosure with a non-combustible countertop. This preassembled liner provides the specified interface between the appliance and enclosure; it does not remove the appliance's ventilation, clearance or gas-installation requirements.
Exact compatibility
The April 2026 C2-610 manual identifies A790 and E790 for this liner. Confirm the exact appliance and production configuration against both manuals before installation. This is a required installation component when the compatible appliance is installed in the specified combustible enclosure, not an unconditional requirement for every non-combustible outdoor kitchen.
Construction and included item
The manufacturer specifies 304 stainless steel and a preassembled liner with support hangers. This listing is for one 3186-52 liner. The appliance, countertop, enclosure and site-specific installation materials are separate. The liner is supported by its hangers on the countertop; framing around the cutout may provide additional support as permitted by the manual.
Model-specific cutout specifications
- Model and MPN: 3186-52
- Cutout width, side to side: 42 inches
- Cutout depth, front to back: 26 inches
- Countertop-to-unit-bottom cutout height: 12.25 inches
- Liner flange-width cutout for countertop overhang: 43 inches
- Manufacturer commercial-file product weight: 91 pounds
These are enclosure cutout dimensions, not exterior product measurements. Depth includes front-wall substrate where the liner flange sits flush. When a countertop overhang exists, cut it flush with the front wall across the specified liner-flange width. Refer to the manual's diagrams before cutting stone or constructing the enclosure.
Installation requirements
Use only a non-combustible countertop. Maintain drainage, replacement air and the required cross-ventilation for any storage area exposed to a potential gas leak. Keep the liner's front and rear ventilation ports unobstructed. Route the gas and applicable electrical feeds through the provided knockouts; the manual prefers the front opening for electrical feeds where possible. The appliance hanger must rest on the liner and must not contact the countertop or any combustible surface.
On irregular or textured countertops, the manufacturer permits appropriate high-temperature silicone to protect against weather. Install the appliance according to its own instructions after placing the liner. Follow all manufacturer enclosure requirements, clearances and applicable codes; the liner is not approval to reduce unrelated clearances.
Documentation and remaining specifications
Read the liner manual and the exact appliance's installation manual together. Burner input, fuel consumption, ignition and electrical draw are not applicable to the unpowered liner itself. Exterior overall dimensions, packaged shipping dimensions and a liner-specific warranty duration are not verified in these sources and have not been estimated.
