Product overview
Empire VFD20MS Spirit is a small steel vent-free stove for supplemental indoor heating. Select the factory natural-gas or propane version and the documented millivolt or intermittent-pilot control configuration.
Key features
Millivolt models use a standing pilot lit with a pushbutton piezo igniter. Intermittent-pilot models light the pilot when heat is requested. Both can use compatible optional controls.
Included components
Contour burner, hand-painted ceramic-fiber log set and glowing embers. Install the logs only in the arrangement shown in the manual.
Required components
Provide the correct factory fuel configuration and adequate combustion and ventilation air. Field fuel conversion is prohibited. This is supplemental heat, not a primary whole-house heating system.
Optional accessories
The optional blower for this size is CIB4. Remote and wall-control accessories are optional and must match the selected control system. A blower or remote is not a prerequisite for choosing the base stove.
