The Napoleon NEFL42AS Astound 42-inch SlimMount is an indoor electric fireplace with a shallow four-inch profile for wall-mounted or recessed installation. Its wide viewing area, anti-glare glass and adjustable flame and ember lighting provide a contemporary focal point with supplemental electric heat.
Fireplace, finishing trim and side panels, remote control, rusty iron glass and smokey gem glass media, wall bracket, mounting hardware, cord-cover components, gloves and manual. Use the installation method and supplied hardware appropriate to the supporting wall.
Provide a dedicated grounded 15A, 120V electrical circuit and adequate structural support. Recessed framing must be non-load-bearing and meet the model-specific opening dimensions below. Follow the manual for electrical connections, glass access and finishing. No chimney, fuel connection or separately purchased media is needed for the standard electric configuration.
Manufacturer-listed colored glass embers and the compatible W370-0317 wall controller are optional upgrades. They are not required for standard operation with the included media and remote.

For wall-mounted installation, allow the manual's two-inch mantel clearance for removal and service; recessed finishing must follow the separate mantel and trim diagrams. Electrical work and installation must follow Napoleon manual W415-10008313 and applicable codes. Use the fireplace indoors and keep loose combustible furnishings away from the heater outlet.
Napoleon provides a three-year limited warranty to the original purchaser through an authorized dealer, subject to the complete installation, use and maintenance conditions. Covered electrical components and wearable parts receive replacement-parts coverage during the first three years; warranty-repair labor is covered in the first year only.
