Selection and required components

This is an optional mantel arrangement, not a complete heating appliance. Select the correct fireplace separately and retain every safety barrier, hood, log/burner component and finishing part required by that exact appliance. Compatibility is model-specific; do not substitute another fireplace merely because its nominal width appears similar.

Installation guidance

The VFPA32 installation requires the supplied hood and the prescribed combustible-mantel clearances. The manufacturer price book states that the cabinet-mantel installation requires a separately selected three-piece frame. Follow the mantel assembly instructions as well as the appliance manual. Maintain ventilation openings, control access and clearance to combustible materials. Installation must follow applicable codes and manufacturer documentation.

Manufacturer documentation

Manufacturer appliance installation and owner manual, clearances and installation sections, provides installation context for the matching appliance family. The July 1, 2026 Empire price book identifies the exact mantel SKU, finish and applications shown above. Confirm final site dimensions and the appliance-specific finishing arrangement before installation.
