The Carol Rose OL48TP is a 48-inch outdoor linear gas fire-pit assembly for a properly constructed enclosure. Its stainless-steel burner sits beneath approved crushed-glass media. Surrounding stonework shown in lifestyle images is not included.
Includes the burner assembly and manual controls. Multicolor LED lighting is included only with an 18-series model; 10-series models do not include lighting.
Approved crushed glass is required separately. The manual specifies 5 square feet minimum and 7 square feet maximum for this size, with approximately 7 square feet spread evenly across the burner and screened areas. One manufacturer bag covers approximately one square foot. Clear Frost DG1CLF is recommended with LED lighting; approved crushed-glass colors may be mixed. Decorative droplets do not replace crushed glass and must not be placed over the burner flame or ignition electrode. The manual permits no more than one bag of optional droplets. Keep the thermocouple and electrode clear and do not pile excessive glass over burner ports.
Manufacturer-listed options include WC48LSS weather cover, WG484LT glass wind-deflector kit, DT48LSS drain tray, BBA tilt-out propane tank door and BRB two-register vent kit. These are separate accessories. Drainage and enclosure ventilation remain installation requirements even when an optional kit is not purchased. Remove the weather cover before lighting and verify the flame is extinguished before replacing it.

Support all four perimeter flanges in a correctly sized enclosure, with at least 7-1/2 inches of depth and a drainage path. Consult the full framing drawings and the optional drain-tray instructions before building. An accessible external gas shutoff is required. The thermocouple shuts off gas when flame is not sensed. Never burn wood or other solid fuel in the unit.
Maintain the manual’s minimum clearances measured from the glass bed: 3-1/4 inches to a combustible side wall, 12 inches to a combustible rear wall and 48 inches from the top surface to a ceiling. Vinyl siding must remain at least 24 inches from the glass bed. Three-wall alcoves are not allowed. These values do not replace the full location and enclosure diagrams. Installation, gas-pressure verification and service must be performed by qualified professionals following the exact manual and applicable codes.
On LED models, controls offer high, medium and low intensity, rapid or gradual color cycling, a paused cycle and seven individual colors. Lighting requires its specified electrical supply; the non-lighted model does not gain LED features by selecting another fuel.
