Product overview
Majestic Products 25" Ruby Direct Vent Gas Insert RUBY25I is a direct-vent gas insert for a suitable existing solid-fuel fireplace, with a traditional log display, factory fan and touchscreen control. A compatible front, surround and vent system complete the installation.
Key features
- Traditional ceramic-fiber split-log display with glowing ember materials.
- Variable fan and IntelliFire Touch control.
- Ceramic glass and model-specific finishing options.
Included components
The Ruby insert includes its traditional log assembly, ceramic glass, ember materials, factory fan and RC400 control.
The traditional configuration uses seven ceramic-fiber split logs and a decorative brick base. The appliance includes its electrical cord and gas flex connector.
Required components
A compatible decorative barrier front and surround are required to complete the installation and are selected separately. The surround’s reset switch must be connected and on for operation. For a custom or inside-fit surround configuration, use the manufacturer’s matching instructions and required switch arrangement rather than assuming that any trim plate is sufficient.
Select the exact natural-gas or propane model for the site. Approved vent liners, termination, gas supply and unswitched electrical supply are required. This is an insert for a suitable solid-fuel masonry or UL127 factory-built fireplace, not a freestanding appliance or unrestricted framed-in firebox. A qualified installer must inspect the existing fireplace, chimney, mantel and hearth before installation.
Optional accessories
Approved refractory or reflective-glass liners and additional compatible controls are optional. Halogen lighting and contemporary conversion kits are not offered for this 25-inch model. A replacement fan or second control listed as an accessory does not change what the standard appliance already includes. Never use unlisted media, logs or liners.

Installation and safety notes
The listed colinear system uses separate 3-inch exhaust and combustion-air liners with a vertical termination. Manufacturer-listed kits include LINK-DV30B, LINK-DV4-30B, LINKSQB-DV30, LINKSQC-DV30, LINKSQB-DV4-30 and LINKSQC-DV4-30, with different liner lengths and termination finishes. Select the kit for the measured chimney; the short-intake arrangements have additional insulation and draft considerations. Do not connect to a flue serving another appliance and do not terminate horizontally.
The opening table applies to the standard surround arrangement. Different-depth or custom surrounds change installation depth. Add the manual’s required allowance when the exhaust collar and damper do not line up. Preserve all air openings, the specified gap below the insert and front, service access, mantel and hearth clearances. All work must follow the exact manufacturer installation instructions and applicable codes.
This direct-vent heater provides supplemental heat and is not a primary heating system. Emergency battery backup operates the ignition system, but fans, lights and Wi-Fi functions relying on AC power are unavailable during an outage. Do not operate with the fixed glass or protective barrier removed. Have the fireplace inspected before use and at least annually by a qualified service technician; clean cooled glass seasonally using the owner manual’s non-abrasive method.
