Included equipment and required installation
The standard log assembly, fixed glass assembly, decorative barrier front and hood provide the traditional fireplace configuration. The included barrier must remain installed during operation; a second optional front or remote is not a mandatory base purchase. Select the exact natural-gas or propane variant to match the installation. Fuel conversion requires a certified model-specific kit and qualified service. Approved venting, gas supply, electrical supply, framing and finishing must be provided separately.
Optional choices and controls
Approved brick or reflective-glass refractory liners, fan, heat-management systems and IntelliFire Touch controls are optional. The IFT-RC400 touchscreen remote, IFT-RC150 wireless wall switch and IFT-WFM Wi-Fi module are optional upgrades. Features depend on the accessories actually installed; a remote does not include a fan, light kit or power vent.
An approved contemporary conversion kit is available for this size. Follow that kit’s exact media and placement instructions; decorative glass is not required for the standard log configuration.
Venting and installation planning
The sealed direct-vent system takes combustion air from outdoors and exhausts outdoors. The manual approves HHT DVP and SLP systems and specified SLP flex systems, with model- and route-specific diagrams. Use the correct vent collar and adapters, follow permitted rise/run and termination clearances, and do not mix different manufacturers’ pipe or joining methods. SLP-FLEX configurations require the manual’s horizontal-run reduction. SLP-FLEX7 is Canada-only and requires its listed adapters. Each appliance requires its own vent.
Plan optional heat-management equipment while the appliance sides remain accessible. Rear venting with a 90-degree elbow adds depth beyond the standard rough opening. Mantels, television placement, vinyl flooring and combustible finishes require the detailed installation provisions, not just the base framing dimensions. Installation and service must follow the manufacturer documentation and applicable codes.
Operation, care and warranty
Use the fuel identified on the rating plate. The IntelliFire Touch system supports emergency battery operation, but AC-powered fans, lights and auxiliary functions are unavailable during an outage. Battery backup is not a long-term power source. Never operate with damaged or removed fixed glass or with the protective barrier removed. Have a qualified service technician verify log placement, gas tightness, glass sealing and controls before first use, and maintain the appliance under the owner manual.
HHT’s limited warranty provides component-specific coverage subject to authorized purchase, installation, maintenance, location and exclusions. Read the full schedule in the owner manual; do not assume all parts have identical coverage.
