Installation and safety notes
Use only in a suitable solid-fuel masonry fireplace or UL127-listed factory-built fireplace after its condition and chimney have been checked. For a standard surround, the minimum opening is 36-5/8 inches front width, 25-1/8 inches rear width and 24-1/4 inches front height, with 15 inches installation depth. Refer to the manual for rear height, surround alternatives and extra clearance where the insert collar and fireplace damper do not align.
The insert vent system uses separate 3-inch flexible exhaust and combustion-air liners with an approved vertical termination. Follow the LINK-DV/LINKSQ-DV configurations and model-specific restrictor instructions. The normal vertical range is 10–50 feet; horizontal termination is not allowed. An approved SLP extension configuration has separate requirements and must follow the manual.
Battery backup supports burner operation during an outage; fans, lights and other AC-powered accessories do not operate from battery backup. Installation and service must follow the exact manufacturer instructions and applicable codes. This is supplemental heat.
Warranty summary
