Product overview
Majestic Products 30" Ruby Platinum Direct Vent Gas Insert RUBYP30I is a direct-vent gas insert for a suitable existing fireplace, with a hand-painted log display, LED ember bed and IntelliFire Touch 2.0 control. Select the correct fuel and documented log version.
Key features
- Flames around the log display with an illuminated ember bed.
- Variable-speed fan and touchscreen remote control.
- Ceramic glass and model-specific front and surround choices.
Included components
Included equipment comprises the IFT2-RC450 remote, factory fan, ceramic glass, log assembly, LED ember bed, decorative brick base, ember materials, electrical cord and gas flex connector.
The supplied ember media comes in two 5-pound bags. This 30-inch model uses approximately 7.5 pounds following the installation manual’s placement instructions. Retain the remaining supplied media for servicing. This supplied material is not an additional customer media purchase requirement. Follow the exact oak or birch log-placement instructions; do not substitute logs or cover burner ports with extra material.
Required components
Select the exact fuel and log version before ordering. A compatible decorative barrier front and surround are required and ordered separately. The surround reset switch must be connected and on for operation. A switch relocation accessory alone is not a surround. A suitable existing solid-fuel masonry or factory-built fireplace, approved vent system, gas connection and unswitched electrical supply are required.
Optional accessories
Use the 30-size approved front and surround for this insert: the manual lists CSFI, CASFI and INFIT front families with model-specific sizes and finishes. Optional BRICKMI30CR or BRICKMI30TB refractory panels and LINER-BK30 glass liner are listed. IFT-RC150U wall control and IFT-WFM Wi-Fi module are optional; they do not replace the required physical front and surround. Verify the complete accessory model and kit instructions before selecting a finish or custom surround.

Installation and safety notes
The listed colinear installation uses separate 3-inch exhaust and air-intake liners and a vertical termination. Listed kits include LINK-DV30B, LINK-DV4-30B, LINKSQB-DV30, LINKSQC-DV30, LINKSQB-DV4-30 and LINKSQC-DV4-30. Kit length, termination and short-intake details must match the actual chimney and manual. Do not terminate horizontally or connect to a flue serving another appliance.
The opening dimensions above apply to a standard surround. The specified deep-surround arrangement reduces minimum depth to 14 inches; custom flush arrangements add 7/8 inch. When the exhaust collar and damper do not align, allow the additional 4 inches specified by the manual. A qualified installer must check the complete opening geometry, hearth, combustible mantel and side clearances, service access and existing chimney condition. Install only in accordance with the manufacturer instructions and applicable codes.
This appliance is a supplemental room heater, not a primary heating system. USB-C battery backup supports emergency ignition operation; AC-powered fans, lights and Wi-Fi functions are unavailable during a power outage. Operate only with the fixed glass and protective barrier installed. Arrange inspection and maintenance by a qualified service professional and follow the owner manual’s cooled-glass cleaning procedure.
Warranty summary
The HHT limited warranty contains component-specific coverage, installation and maintenance conditions, and exclusions. Refer to the owner manual warranty schedule rather than treating every part as having identical coverage.
