Empire VIB6A Vertical Inlet Baffle Kit

VIB6A is the manufacturer-listed vertical inlet baffle kit documented for the DVD direct-vent fireplace family. This listing is the named component; the fireplace and other venting or finishing components are sold separately.

Verified application

The DVD installation manual lists VIB6A as the vertical inlet baffle kit for a 6-5/8-inch diameter. Match the selected approved vent system and route to the exact appliance instructions. This is a system component, not a complete vent kit or a blanket requirement for every fireplace.

Installation and documentation

Do not substitute a component from another size or vent system based on appearance. Follow the exact appliance and component instructions and applicable codes. DVD32 / DVD36 / DVD42 / DVD48 installation manual 43115-3-1024, pages 7–8, identifies the component application. The complete vent route and termination must comply with the manual.
