Empire ONR30P 30-inch Harmony Outdoor Propane Burner
The ONR30P is a stainless-steel Harmony burner for an appropriate outdoor fireplace or firebox. This exact model uses propane and millivolt standing pilot with On/Off switch. It provides up to 50,000 BTU/hr input and is intended to be paired with the matching outdoor Wildwood refractory log set. The burner is a component of an installed outdoor fireplace, not a freestanding indoor heater.

Included controls and required installation
The burner assembly incorporates the model-specific gas controls. The millivolt model includes its valve, safety thermopile generator and On/Off switch. Its gas valve does not require 24V or 110V; compatible remote or wall-switch control is optional. Provide the matching 30-inch Wildwood outdoor refractory log set, a compatible outdoor fireplace/firebox, correct fuel supply, accessible shutoff and qualified installation. Do not treat the burner as a complete fireplace enclosure. The burner must be anchored to the fireplace floor and the logs positioned exactly as their instructions show.
Fitment, ventilation and optional accessories
Confirm both the burner’s minimum firebox dimensions and the host fireplace’s approval before ordering. Measure the clear opening inside any door frame, and allow room for the control module. Operate with glass doors open and a fireplace screen in place. Do not burn wood or other solid fuels while the gas burner is installed. The manual lists FRBC battery-operated remote control and an optional wall switch for ONR models. Optional controls are not required to use the supplied On/Off switch. Weather protection is recommended when idle, but must not obstruct operation or ventilation. Thermostats are not approved by this manual for the decorative appliance.
Install only in a suitable outdoor, well-ventilated fireplace or firebox. The burner manual’s screened-porch guidance specifies at least 96 square feet, a 92-inch ceiling, at least two screened walls, screen tops at least 6 feet 6 inches high and 64 square feet of screen area. Apply all host-fireplace requirements as well; this outdoor model must never be used in an enclosed room, camper, tent or vehicle.
Installation, care and service
Arrange qualified gas installation and leak testing, observing the exact fuel on the rating plate. The enclosure must drain; the burner is not waterproof. Keep burner ports, air intake and controls free of debris. Have the appliance inspected before use and at least annually, including flame pattern, log position and ignition. Handle logs only when cool and do not use cleaning fluid on them. Installation and service must follow the manufacturer manuals and applicable codes.
Warranty
The manual provides a limited five-year parts warranty on appliance components and a limited one-year parts warranty on remotes, thermostats, accessories and replacement parts. Coverage is for the original purchaser and is subject to qualified installation, correct use, maintenance and the complete exclusions; travel, diagnosis, freight, removal and reinstallation are excluded.
