The Empire OLI24N is a 24-inch stainless-steel Loft outdoor burner for natural gas, with intermittent ignition and a variable-flame remote. It creates a contemporary linear flame within a suitable outdoor fireplace or firebox. This burner component does not include a complete fireplace enclosure and must not be used as an indoor appliance.

Included components

The manufacturer instructions describe the burner, electronic control module, receiver and handheld transmitter, with supplied batteries. The remote provides On/Off and Hi/Lo operation.

Required components

Provide an approved outdoor fireplace/firebox, the correct gas supply and accessible shutoff, and qualified installation. The installer must anchor the burner to the firebox floor. Measure the usable opening inside any glass-door frame; keep the burner clear of the screen and operate with glass doors open.

Installation and safety notes

Do not add arbitrary logs or media based on another burner’s appearance. Any decorative option must be approved for the exact model and installed under its manufacturer instructions. This product’s outdoor rating does not make it suitable for an enclosed room, tent, vehicle or camper.

The burner manual’s screened-porch guidance calls for at least 96 square feet of area, a 92-inch ceiling, at least two screened walls, screen tops at least 6 feet 6 inches high and 64 square feet of screen area. Follow the complete burner and host-fireplace requirements. The enclosure must drain; stainless-steel construction is weather resistant but not waterproof. Plan flashing and slopes to keep water away from the structure and controls.

Keep combustion-air paths, burner ports and controls clear. A qualified professional must inspect and service the appliance at least annually, check ignition and flame operation and follow the exact wiring and gas-pressure instructions. Replace batteries as directed. Stainless steel can develop a patina or surface oxidation outdoors; follow the manufacturer cleaning method. Installation and service must comply with the manufacturer documents and applicable codes.

The manual provides a limited five-year parts warranty on appliance components and a limited one-year parts warranty on remotes, thermostats, accessories and replacement parts.
