Included and required

This listing is the 6-piece log set. A compatible manufacturer-approved burner, its controls and a suitable fireplace/firebox are required separately. Select the burner and fuel configuration using the exact burner manual; the logs alone do not establish a fuel type, heat-input rating or minimum firebox dimensions.

Installation and media placement

Use the arrangement shown for the exact size and revision in the log manual. Seat every log on its prescribed support or locating pin and do not rearrange the logs for appearance. Use only approved replacement pieces. Place glowing embers only where the manual permits; decorative lava rock belongs on the firebox floor, not on the burner.

Vented versus vent-free application

The manufacturer manual covers approved vented and unvented applications. The selected burner, fireplace and applicable codes determine the permitted installation. Do not assume that every fireplace or jurisdiction permits vent-free use. Keep any fireplace glass doors open during operation as instructed, maintain combustion-air openings and follow the burner manual for clearances and venting.

Documents and service

Sassafras log installation and owner manual 28189-2-0315 provides the exact log arrangement and service instructions; the model-specific parts list is on page(s) 13. Have installation and service performed by a qualified professional according to the manufacturer documents and applicable codes. If soot appears, stop operation and obtain service.
