VFSV16NAT is the 16-inch natural gas Slope Glaze burner with variable-flame remote control. Select the manufacturer-approved log set separately to create the complete gas-log configuration. This listing is the burner assembly, not a complete fireplace enclosure or a logs-included package.

Included, required and optional selections
The named burner/control configuration is supplied under this SKU. The current commercial listing includes the remote-control configuration stated above. A matching approved log set and a suitable fireplace or listed ventless enclosure are required separately. Match burner size, log family and the exact installation instructions; similar-looking logs are not interchangeable.
Use thermostatic controls only in applications expressly permitted by the burner manual.
Fireplace fit and clearances
Minimum front opening width 24 inches, rear width 18 inches, depth 11-1/2 inches and height 18 inches. These are the manual’s minimum solid-fuel/UL127 fireplace dimensions, not the burner’s physical dimensions. Measure the clear opening inside any glass-door frame and check the chosen log instructions as well.
Maintain 6 inches from the opening sides to a combustible wall and 36 inches from the opening to the ceiling. Mantel projection, noncombustible facing and any hood requirement must follow the complete clearance diagrams; do not select a hood from a generic option title.
Venting and installation
Use only an installation permitted by the appliance manual and local codes. A vent-free installation requires adequate room combustion and ventilation air. A vented installation requires an appropriate working flue and the prescribed damper arrangement. Keep fireplace glass doors fully open during operation. The manual’s Canadian installation section permits vented installation only. Do not install these heat-input models in bedrooms or bathrooms.
Position the burner and logs exactly as shown, keep burner ports and air openings clear, and place embers only in approved areas. Decorative lava rock belongs on the firebox floor, not on the burner. Have the system installed and inspected by a qualified professional; stop operation and arrange service if abnormal sooting occurs.
Warranty and documentation
The manual provides a limited five-year parts-and-labor warranty for covered components, excluding remotes, thermostats, accessories and replacement parts, which have a limited one-year parts warranty. Coverage applies to the original purchaser subject to the manufacturer’s installation, maintenance and other terms.
