Product overview
The Monessen Artisan 42-inch fireplace is a single-sided, clean-face vent-free gas fireplace with IntelliFire Touch ignition. Select the exact natural-gas or propane configuration for the installation. Its linear flame and Diamond fireglass create a contemporary focal point without a chimney or vent pipe; combustion-air and room-use requirements still apply.

Included components
Includes the framed mesh screen, 4 bags of crushed-glass media and the specified non-combustible finishing material. Lighting and the IFT2-RC450 remote are optional on the 42-inch model.
Required components
Select the correct fuel configuration and follow the exact installation and finishing instructions. The supplied glass satisfies the standard media installation; an additional glass purchase, log kit or stone kit is not required merely to complete the fireplace.
Standard-input BU and reduced-input RB versions have different input ratings. Match the exact selected configuration to the rating plate; see the model-specific input row below.
Optional accessories
Approved trim/fronts, driftwood log kits and a stone kit are optional. Choose the approved log kit or stone kit, not both together. Additional decorative glass is optional and must not be installed in excess of the prescribed amount.
The IFT2-AVFL42LED lighting kit and black-glass interior are optional. The lighting kit includes a wall switch; the IFT2-RC450 remote is a separate optional control.

Installation and safety notes
Install the supplied glass in a single layer using the exact placement diagrams. Excess glass can restrict burner air and cause soot. Keep burner ports clear and follow the size-specific placement diagrams for any optional logs or stones. Provide combustion and ventilation air and observe all room, clearance and finishing restrictions. Installation and service must follow the manufacturer documentation and applicable codes.
