Product overview
The Monessen Attribute ACUF36 is a 36-inch vent-free firebox enclosure for a separately selected, listed gas log heater. Its clean-face design, recessed screen pockets and reversible interior panels frame the log set without a louvered surround. The empty firebox is not a complete gas-burning appliance.

Included components
Includes mesh screens, hood, junction box and reversible fiber-refractory panels. Burner and log set are not included.
Required components
Requires a listed gas-fired unvented decorative room heater with maximum input no greater than 40,000 BTU/hr. Its minimum enclosure dimensions must fit this firebox. Follow both the firebox and selected heater instructions. Install the supplied hood and screens correctly before operation.
Optional accessories
The manufacturer lists model-matched black-glass panels, contemporary fronts and trim kits, plus the MONAL-VF light kit, GFK-160VF blower and AKD outside-air kit. These are optional; select the exact size-specific kit. An optional accessory does not replace the required heater.

Installation and safety notes
Do not burn wood or use an unlisted heater. Unit dimensions are not framing dimensions: follow the complete framing, mantel, hearth and clearance drawings in the installation manual. Provide gas and electrical services suitable for the selected heater and accessories. Keep air openings clear; installation and servicing must follow manufacturer instructions and applicable codes.
