Configuration guidance

The Meridian Platinum manual requires a refractory/liner kit. This is one approved interior choice; the alternative finishes are selections, not additional kits that all need to be purchased. Select the kit matching the appliance size and desired appearance.

For MER42PN and MER42PL, the manual identifies SRV2586-077-TG as an optional rear base refractory for this finish. It is recommended for appearance only and is not an additional required component.

Installation and documentation

Follow the instructions supplied with the kit and the appliance manual. A qualified technician must install approved accessories, and installation must follow applicable codes. Do not substitute a kit for another model size or for the other Meridian series. Meridian Platinum manufacturer installation manual, page 82, lists the exact approved parts.
