Product overview

The AS10 is the straight attic insulation shield for HHT SL1100 Series wood chimney. It surrounds the chimney where it passes up through an insulated attic, keeping loose insulation and combustibles from contacting the pipe. It is a venting component, not a fireplace.

The Majestic BILT36/BILT42 and ASH42 manuals list the AS10 at 24" (610 mm) tall with a 17" (432 mm) assembled diameter. Ray Murray's catalog notes the firestop is not included, so order the FS538 ceiling firestop separately.

Installation and safety notes

Install an attic insulation shield whenever insulation or combustibles could contact the chimney. Keep the 2" (51 mm) clearance and do not pack insulation between the chimney and the shield.

In Canada, the Biltmore manual lists the CAS10 attic shield kit as required instead.
