Included components

The Echelon includes its approved glass-media kit, LED ember-bed lighting, ceramic glass assembly and IntelliFire Touch controls with RC400 remote.

Required components

A compatible decorative barrier front must be ordered separately and installed before operation. Approved direct venting, correct fuel supply, electrical supply and the specified non-combustible facing are required installation provisions. Do not operate with a barrier or fixed glass assembly removed.

Optional accessories

Driftwood logs, stones, reflective glass panels and alternative approved glass-media colors are optional. The included media already provides the standard fire bed; an optional replacement-media package is not a second mandatory base purchase. The manual limits this model to 7 bags of installed glass media. Follow the selected kit’s own quantity and placement instructions when combining logs or stones. Use only HHT-approved media, keep the pilot-lighting area clear and never exceed the specified layer or quantity. If logs and media are chosen together, the manual directs installation of logs first.

Installation and safety notes

This sealed direct-vent system draws combustion air from outdoors and exhausts outdoors. Use the approved DVP system and listed termination components; do not mix manufacturers’ pipes or share the vent with another appliance. The required initial vertical rise is only one part of the vent design: elbow count, horizontal length, total run, termination clearance, firestops and supports must all match the installation diagrams. Optional power venting and heat-management systems have their own compatibility and installation instructions.

Choose the decorative front and finishing method before framing. Clean Face Trim and Picture Frame styles have different finishing details. Maintain access for service, the required non-combustible finishing areas and all mantel/ceiling clearances. Optional Passive Heat can change framing and ceiling requirements; do not apply the standard table to a Passive Heat installation without its kit instructions. Have a qualified installer design and install the system under the manufacturer manuals and applicable codes.

The factory battery tray accepts four AA batteries for emergency power-outage operation. Batteries are not the normal long-term power source. Lights, fans and other functions requiring household AC power are unavailable on battery backup. Do not connect line voltage directly to the low-voltage ignition module or wall switch. Arrange professional inspection before use and at least annually. Clean cooled glass seasonally with the specified non-abrasive fireplace-glass cleaner, inspect the vent termination and replace any protective barrier removed for service before operation.

Warranty summary

The current owner manual contains HHT’s component-specific limited warranty. Coverage depends on the component, authorized purchase, installation location and compliance with installation and maintenance requirements. Read the full schedule and exclusions rather than treating every part as lifetime-covered.
