Empire Hearth Small Insert Black Deep Surround 40" W x 23" H (6x6x2.2) DS2066DBL

Empire DS2066DBL Surround, Deep, Black for DVC20IN

The DS2066DBL is an Empire surround, deep, black listed for the DVC20IN Innsbrook direct-vent insert family. It is a finishing component for the exact compatible insert/surround arrangement, not a complete fireplace insert.

Identity and application

• Manufacturer part number: DS2066DBL.
• Component: Surround, Deep, Black.
• Documented insert family: DVC20IN.
• The insert and other separately listed finishing parts are not included.

Selection requirements

This insert requires one approved surround. Select the correct steel surround to cover the fireplace opening; a separately selected cast-iron surround is an alternative and requires its own adapter. A matching bottom cover is used when the steel surround does not reach the floor. Do not require every surround style or an optional decorative front.

Installation and fit

Measure the fireplace opening and installation height before selecting the finishing package. Use the exact surround drawing and installation instructions to verify coverage; nominal insert size alone does not establish fit. Maintain clearance to combustible materials, ventilation, access to controls and the appliance safety barrier. A finishing panel must not cover required air openings or substitute for the glass barrier.

Installation must follow the insert and finishing-component instructions and applicable codes. Use only manufacturer-approved trim and certified doors for the exact appliance. Any barrier or glass assembly removed for service must be restored before operation.
