Required components
This 30-inch insert requires one model-specific log set, liner and surround. Choose LS30TINF Traditional Charred or LS30DINF Driftwood logs. The manual lists DVP30CPKR black glass, DVP30CPMB rustic brick, DVP30CPTB cottage brick, DVP30CPTS traditional stone and DVP30CPWS old world stone liners. Select a manufacturer surround sized to cover the existing fireplace opening.
Optional accessories
Beveled frames and decorative forged fronts are optional finishing choices. A decorative inset requires its compatible decorative front; an inset alone does not replace the required surround. The supplied protective glass barrier must remain installed during operation.

Installation and safety notes
Minimum existing fireplace opening: 31-1/4 inches front width, 19-1/2 inches height, 22 inches rear width and 18 inches depth. The manual allows the surround depth to be subtracted from this opening-depth figure. These are existing-fireplace fit dimensions, not the appliance’s outside dimensions. The chimney needs at least an 8-inch-diameter flue opening to accommodate the approved liner installation.
The insert uses a 3-inch combustion-air intake and 4-inch exhaust liner. A complete approved liner/termination system is required; a connector or termination alone is not a complete vent system. This insert installs into an approved wood-burning fireplace, not an improvised enclosure.
The manual specifies 8 inches to a perpendicular combustible side wall, measured from the opening side, and 36 inches from the opening top to the ceiling. Mantel clearance varies with projection: use the exact diagram on page 11. A 120 VAC cord is provided for the blower accessory; electrical installation must follow the manual and applicable codes.
