Empire Hearth Adjustable Black Hood ELH1

Empire ELH1 Black Fireplace Hood for Approved Vent-Free Installations

The ELH1 is Empire’s black fireplace hood listed as ELH-1 in the Loft burner manual. It is an optional installation accessory whose need depends on the exact fireplace, mantel and noncombustible-material clearances.

A hood is not permission to reduce clearances arbitrarily. Have the installer compare the complete installation with the manual’s mantel-clearance diagrams and use the hood only where that configuration is approved. The hood does not replace adequate combustion air, the required fireplace screen or other appliance safety provisions.
