Identity and application

• Manufacturer part number: DVWB3BL.
• Exact manufacturer description: Door Frame with Barrier, Black.
• Documented application: Tahoe Deluxe 42 / DVD42 family.
• Selection role: Conditional component for an optional decorative-door configuration.
• This listing includes the named accessory; the fireplace and separately listed finishing components are not included.

Required versus optional

This door frame with barrier is the documented alternative used when selecting a compatible decorative door set. Doors are separately selected. A safety barrier must be installed for operation, but the decorative door configuration is optional; do not require decorative doors when another approved barrier arrangement is used.

Installation considerations

Match the appliance model, accessory size and attachment arrangement before installation. Do not assume compatibility with a different Tahoe series solely from its nominal size. Install only after the appliance is cool and follow the accessory instructions along with the fireplace installation manual. Preserve the manufacturer clearances, glass sealing, barrier protection and access for maintenance. Installation must comply with the manufacturer documentation and applicable codes.

Manufacturer documentation

Empire DVD installation and owner manual 43115-3-1024 covers the appliance, safety-barrier requirement and decorative accessories; see pages 1 and 63–64. The July 1, 2026 manufacturer price book lists this exact SKU in the Tahoe Deluxe 42 accessory section.
