Empire Boulevard VFLB72FP90 is a 72-inch single-sided linear vent-free gas fireplace with a concealed burner and contemporary flame presentation. Select the correct factory natural-gas or propane configuration; field fuel conversion is prohibited.

Included components
The factory burner and protective screens are part of the fireplace. Keep the required screens and glass deflectors installed as directed by the exact model manual.
Required components
Provide an approved gas connection, adequate combustion and ventilation air, required noncombustible finishing materials and the electrical supply specified for the selected control and lighting package. No chimney or exhaust vent is used. This is supplemental indoor heat, not primary whole-house heat.
6 square feet of approved crushed glass is required. Each box covers one square foot. Clear Frost DG1CLF is recommended; DG1BKP Black Polished, DG1BUC Blue Clear, DG1BCR Copper Reflective and DG1BZR Bronze Reflective are also listed. Glass colors may be mixed. Decorative droplets may be mixed in as accents but cannot replace the required crushed glass.
Optional accessories
Optional decorative fronts: DF721VBL (3/4-inch bevel) or DF722VBL (1-1/2-inch bevel). Optional liner: VBP72LKR black reflective glass or VBP72LSS stainless steel. Optional log set: LS72DF. DG1GC, DG1SL, DG1NXS and DRFPA are optional accent media; install only in the positions allowed by the manual.

Installation and safety notes
Face and screen dimensions are not framing dimensions. Use the exact manual’s clean-face or flush-face detail, wall-finishing thickness, mantel diagram and service clearances. Decorative fronts need the specified finish offset. Have installation and service performed by qualified personnel in accordance with the manufacturer documentation and applicable codes.
Do not install these models in bedrooms or bathrooms. Maintain adequate combustion and ventilation air and keep fans from blowing into the flame. Do not place decorative material on or next to the burner; follow the placement, cleaning and annual inspection instructions.
