This policy describes the personal information United Fireplaces collects, how it is used and disclosed, cookies and advertising, retention, customer rights, and privacy requests.

Sources of information

  • Directly from you, including forms, orders, accounts, email, phone, chat, text messages, reviews, uploads, and support requests.
  • Automatically from your browser or device through cookies, tags, pixels, local storage, logs, and similar technology.
  • From service providers and business partners, including our ecommerce platform, payment providers, fraud services, carriers, distributors, manufacturers, marketing providers, and support tools.

How we use information

  • Provide the website, accounts, product tools, quotes, orders, payments, delivery, returns, warranty assistance, and customer support.
  • Communicate transaction updates, respond to requests, and send marketing where permitted.
  • Personalize products, content, promotions, and recommendations.
  • Measure traffic, advertising, and site performance; understand how customers use the site; and improve products and services.
  • Detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, prohibited activity, and technical problems.
  • Comply with tax, accounting, warranty, safety, legal, and regulatory obligations and enforce our agreements.

Cookies analytics and advertising

We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies that may be essential, functional, analytics, or advertising-related. Our current website uses BigCommerce, Google Analytics, Google Ads and conversion measurement, Google Tag Manager, LiveChat, Privy, StoreYa, Fueled, TrustedSite, and other ecommerce, security, advertising, and performance integrations. Google advertising integrations may use enhanced conversions to measure advertising results. These services may receive identifiers, device or browsing activity, transaction information, or contact information as applicable to their function and your choices.

Essential technologies support functions such as checkout, security, authentication, cart storage, and privacy choices. Functional technologies support features such as chat. Analytics technologies measure use and performance. Advertising technologies may measure campaigns, create audiences, or personalize advertising.

Use the Cookie Settings control on the website to manage the Functional, Analytics, and Advertising categories provided by the current BigCommerce consent controls. Essential technologies remain enabled. Checkout provides a link to the storefront Cookie Settings control. Relevant optional scripts are assigned to consent categories. Google Analytics uses Consent Mode, so its library may load with storage and advertising consent denied; choosing No does not necessarily prevent all cookieless measurement requests. Changing choices does not necessarily delete cookies already stored by your browser. Browser settings can also block or delete cookies, but some features may not work. Choices apply to the browser and device used to make them.

When we disclose information

  • Service providers. Ecommerce hosting, payment processing, fraud prevention, customer service, chat, communications, analytics, advertising, email and SMS, IT, cloud hosting, and professional advisers.
  • Order and delivery partners. Manufacturers, distributors, warehouses, carriers, installers, and service providers as needed to fulfill or support an order or request.
  • Business transfers. A buyer, investor, lender, adviser, or successor in connection with a financing, reorganization, sale, merger, or similar transaction.
  • Legal and safety. Government authorities or others when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud, or secure the services.
  • At your direction. A person or service you ask us to involve, such as an installer, recipient, financing provider, or social platform.

We may use or disclose information that has been aggregated or deidentified so it cannot reasonably be linked to an individual. We do not attempt to reidentify deidentified information except to test whether deidentification is effective.

Sale sharing and targeted advertising

We do not sell personal information for money. Some disclosures of identifiers, device information, internet activity, or inferences to advertising or analytics partners may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or use for targeted advertising under certain state privacy laws even when no money is exchanged.

Where applicable, you may opt out through the website Cookie Settings control or by emailing support@unitedfireplaces.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” Cookiebot is not currently installed, and automatic recognition and handling of Global Privacy Control signals has not been implemented on this website. Please use Cookie Settings or contact us to communicate your opt-out request. This implementation limitation does not limit any rights you have under applicable law.

Email text chat and telephone communications

You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in the message. You may still receive nonmarketing messages about orders, accounts, safety, returns, warranties, or support. Our SMS Terms apply if you enroll in a text-message program; publication of those terms does not mean a marketing SMS program is currently active. Chat or telephone interactions may be processed by service providers and may be retained as support records. If a call is recorded, we will provide notice when required by law.

Images and support attachments

If you send us a photograph, measurement, drawing, or project file for support, include only information needed for your request. Avoid including people, confidential documents, or unnecessary precise location information. We use the material to respond to your request and provide product or order support. This policy does not represent that an image-preview tool, installer-referral portal, or other future feature is currently available. Any new feature will be described when it is introduced.

Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including providing services, maintaining transaction and warranty records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, enforcing agreements, and meeting tax, accounting, legal, and regulatory duties. The retention period depends on the type of information, the relationship, the sensitivity and risk, whether an account or order remains active, applicable limitation periods, and legal requirements.

When information is no longer required, we delete, deidentify, or securely dispose of it where reasonably feasible. We may retain a limited suppression record after an opt-out so we can honor the choice.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed for the nature of the information and our operations. No website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure. Protect your password and notify us promptly if you believe an account or communication has been compromised.

Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live and whether a law applies to United Fireplaces, you may have the right to request access to or confirmation of personal information, correction, deletion, a portable copy, or information about collection and disclosure. You may also have the right to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive information; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision.

To submit a request, email support@unitedfireplaces.com with the subject “Privacy Request” or mail it to 2810 N Church St #797810, Wilmington, Delaware 19802, United States. Describe the right you want to exercise and provide enough information for us to locate and verify the request. We may verify identity and authority, request signed permission for an authorized agent, or deny a request as permitted by law. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

If we deny a request and your law provides an appeal right, reply with the subject “Privacy Appeal” and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered.

California and other U.S. state disclosures

The categories of information this website collects and discloses for business purposes are described above. They may include identifiers, customer records, commercial information, internet or device activity, approximate geolocation, communications, and preferences or inferences. Recipients may include service providers, order and delivery partners, advertising and analytics partners, professional advisers, authorities, and transaction counterparties.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. If we use sensitive personal information, we use it only for permitted business purposes unless we provide a legally required right to limit that use.

Children

The website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child submitted information, contact us so we can review and delete it as required.

External services and international processing

Third-party sites and services have their own privacy practices. Personal information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate. When required, appropriate protections apply to cross-border transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect legal, technical, vendor, or business changes. We will post the revised date and provide additional notice when required. Material changes apply prospectively unless law permits otherwise.
