The SL306 is a 6" straight chimney section for the Hearth & Home Technologies (HHT) SL300 Series two-wall wood chimney used by Majestic wood-burning fireplaces. It is a venting component, not a fireplace.

Verified fireplace compatibility: the SL306 appears in the chimney component lists of the Majestic Sovereign SA36R / SA42R and Royalton BE36 / BE42 installation manuals. Sections snap together; once joined, each SL306 section adds 4-3/4" (121 mm) of effective height.

Installation and safety notes

Keep a minimum 2" (51 mm) air space between the chimney and framing, insulation or other combustibles (4044-197). Overall chimney limits for the Sovereign SA36R/SA42R (4010-259 Table 4.1): minimum straight height 16.5 ft, maximum height 90 ft, maximum 35 ft between chimney stabilizers, maximum 6 ft unsupported above the roof. Minimum heights differ by fireplace model; use the table in your fireplace manual.

Which Majestic fireplaces use the SL306?

The Majestic Sovereign SA36R / SA42R and Royalton BE36 / BE42 installation manuals list the SL306 in their SL300 chimney component tables. Use it only with a fireplace whose manual calls for SL300 Series chimney.

How much height does one SL306 add?

Its actual length is 6" (152 mm), but after it snaps onto the next section its effective height is 4-3/4" (121 mm). Use the effective height when calculating total chimney height.

What pipe size is SL300?

The Sovereign manual (4010-259) lists the SL300 chimney as 8" (203 mm) inside diameter and 10-1/2" (267 mm) outside diameter.

How many offsets can the chimney have?

The Sovereign manual allows a maximum of two pairs of offsets and returns, no more than 30° from vertical, with no more than 20 ft of chimney between an offset and its return.
