Product overview

The SL1106 is a 6" long section of HHT SL1100 Series factory-built chimney pipe, used to build the vertical chimney above Majestic wood-burning fireplaces such as the Biltmore BILT36/BILT42 and Ashland ASH42. It is a venting component, not a fireplace.

SL1100 pipe has an 11" (279 mm) inside diameter and a 13" (330 mm) outside diameter. Because sections overlap at each joint, a 6" section adds 4-3/4" (121 mm) of effective height, which is the figure to use when planning total chimney height.

Installation and safety notes

Per the BILT36/42 manual the chimney system must be at least 18 ft (5.49 m) tall straight (18.5 ft with one offset/return), with a 90 ft (27.43 m) maximum; keep a 2" (51 mm) air space between the chimney and all combustibles and insulation.

Sections lock together; pull up on each section after joining to confirm engagement. The manual notes sections cannot be taken apart once locked, so plan the layout before assembly. Support straight vertical runs at least every 35 ft (10.7 m).
